On this page you will see my Traditional Baskets
These Traditional Baskets are made from Materials that I have gathered and prepared myself. Some of the materials take a year to prepare for weaving. The Materials I like to Weave with are: Red Bud, Willow, Sedge Roots, Woodwardia Fern, and Buck Brush.
The Basket on the left is made from Willow gathered in the Spring time, and stripped of it's bark. It measures 14" in dia. by 18" tall.
The Basket on the right is made from Willow gathered in the Fall, and the bark is left on for the color.
It measures 10 1/2" in dia. by 9 1/4" tall. Both of these Baskets are SOLD

This fine little Canoe Basket is made from Willow, Red Bud, and Sedge Roots. It measures 3 3/4" long, by 1 1/2" wide, by 1" tall.
The pattern on the Basket is called "Pine Tree". The materials for this little gem were gathered, then stripped or shaved
down and prepared a year in advance of making the Basket. This Canoe Basket was in my personal collection, which I have taken
and shared with school children throughout Northern California. The number of this Basket is D-647,
and it was completed in March of 1995. This Basket sold in 2012, and now lives in Las Cruses, New Mexico.
